Trek the REAL Inca Trail - rated amongst the ten best trekking routes on Earth.  It boasts striking beauty, ancient Inca ruins and diverse ecological zones.  The trail includes variety of different terrain - from high desert plateau to tropical Andean rainforest. Your ultimate destination will be Machu Picchu – the “Lost City” of the Incas – one of the world’s most fascinating and important archaeological finds.  Other highlights include the historical town of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Inca site and market town of Pisac, the hot springs at Aguas Calientes and the capital city of Lima.

This is the most responsible way to reach Machu Picchu.  The Inca Trail has a restriction on the number of people who can trek the route each day and it closes for 2 months every year to allow the land time to recover.
