EHI Awards 2015

The Team had a brilliant evening attending the EHI Awards - the UK's dedicated healthcare IT award scheme - at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

Best Beginnings' Baby Buddy app was a finalist in the 'Healthcare IT Product Innovation' category, and as a small charity with a limited budget we felt humbled to be considered for this award, given the size and calibre of the other organisations shortlisted and in attendance. With thanks to Neil Hadland for organising such a fantastic event.

Although we didn't quite scoop the award, we are delighted to congratulate category winners Big White Wall on their amazing work around mental health and support. Their passion about making a difference is in line with Best Beginnings' ethos and new Maternal Mental Health project, and we hope to link in soon to see how we can support each others' work.

A big thanks must go to David White at ITRM for sponsoring our table at the awards, as well as our guests Richard Williams from the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, and Lauren Goodenough from our digital supplier Despark.

Best Beginnings at the British 10K

On Sunday 9th July 2017, 10 runners represented Best Beginnings at the Virgin Sport Westminster British 10k and raised funds for Best Beginnings’ work to support parents in giving their children the best start in life. The British 10k is considered a ‘mini London Marathon’. It attracts thousands of runners to charge around the closed-off streets of Westminster.
