So far the Best Beginnings Team of 20 have raised nearly £10,000 to help give every baby in the UK the healthiest start in life.
Runner Paul Gringrass, said: “This is the third year I’ve run for Best Beginnings, and it gets better every year! Its a great cause and needed more than ever in the present economic climate. Looking after the babies makes good health and economic sense for everybody.”
Joe Elliot of Hampstead said: “Its wonderful to support such a dynamic charity. They work very cleverly to target the best possible help to families in order to give the best start to young children. I’m very impressed with what the charity have achieved in such a short time.”

We took an incredible team of 20 runners from such diverse backgrounds all committed to playing their part and making a difference – from Eddy, just 16 years old, to Vivian at 58. But its not just the runners I want to thank, but also the cameraman and photographer from Charity Network, from beginning to end the day has just been a celebration of the big society vision in action.”
