This past weekend Team Best Beginnings Buddies completed the Coniston Triathlon to raise money for Best Beginnings.

Best Beginnings Buddies are all passionate about the work Best Beginnings does to reduce child health inequalities in the UK and are raising money to help give more children in the UK the best start in life. The team’s fundraising target is £500 and they’ve already raised a fantastic £380.

Let’s help them exceed their target! Please visit their fundraising page to make a donation: http://www.bestbeginnings.org.uk/Fundraisers/best-beginnings-buddies

On Saturday 13th June, Best Beginnings’ Facilitators Fiona Dry and Julie Williams, along with Susie Kitson (a GP in the North of England) each completed a leg of the triathlon. They did amazingly well, coming 3rd in the team event!

On Sunday 14th June, the fourth member of Team Best Beginnings Buddies - firefighter Stephen Dry (Fiona’s husband) took part in the Coniston Old Man, taking on a gruelling 2000m swim, 70km bike ride and a 20km fell run. Stephen really enjoyed the event and completed it in a non-stop time of 8 hours. Well done Steve!

Thank you so much to Fiona, Steve, Julie and Susie in their excellent performance at the Coniston Triathlon. All of us here at Best Beginnings appreciate both your sporting and fundraising efforts!
