Best Beginnings is delighted to have been chosen by the award-winning mummy group "Kenstington Mums" as their charity beneficiary at their Christmas Fair this year on Sunday 27th November.

Do come along to support them! By doing so, you will be supporting Best Beginnings and helping us to create and deliver our award-winning free resources, including the much-loved free app, Baby Buddy which has just celebrated its second birthday. We continue to help to suppport parents in the journey to parenthood and beyond. By empowering parents with knowledge and confidence, we are helping to give children the best start possible. Evidence shows that confident, supported parenting is a greater factor in social mobility and school readiness than background or income. Best Beginning focuses on the critical "window of opportunity" between conception and three years of age when the foundations for emotional, physical and language development are laid. We are truly delighted by Kensington Mums' support this year and urge you to come enjoy a day of fun-filled acitivities incuding  arts and crafts, face painting, hair braiding, nail stamping and more. Please see here for more information.

Given Best Beginnings's partnership in the Heads Together campaign, spearheaded by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry (to tackle stigma and change the conversation around mental health in the UK as well as the focus on mental health as part of the Our Chance safer pregnancy campaign), we welcome the support of the group whose founder, Dina Maktabi knows only too well what it is like to feel isolated after the birth of a baby. Dina remembers experiencing the isolation of postnatal depression as a new mum and newly arrived in the UK. Her experience of shopping with her newborn, pretending to try on outfits at Zara and M&S so that she could "retreat to the changing rooms to breast feed" because the high street had not sufficiently catered for mothers and babies is an experience that resonates in the Best Beginning's #BesideYou Campaign to raise awareness about breastfeeding in Medway - the campaign's launch film went viral and can be viewed here. The campaign is also enjoying the support of Holly McNish who had this to say:

In 2014, Nathalie Bernadotte joined Dina and the pair are now "an unstoppable duo with a growing family," says Dina. To find out more about the group and their network of 24,000 mothers, including celebrity mums, Tamara Beckwith, Tamara Ecclestone, Caprice Bourret and HRH Marie Chantal visit www.kengsingtonmums.co.uk.

Look foward to seeing you at the fair!
