We were incredibly grateful to have been chosen for the second year as one of two charities (along with The Reading Agency) benefitting from the Goodwood Regency Ball and Glorious Goodwood Magnolia Cup Ladies Race.

and our incredible supporters Ricardo & Encarnita Galvani at the Regency Ball

On Wednesday 30th July 2014, the Earl and Countess of March and Kinrara hosted a magnificent Regency Ball at Goodwood House to celebrate the commitment of the brilliant high-profile women taking on the roles of jockeys, silk designers and team supporters at the charity Magnolia Cup Ladies Race that took place the following day. Supermodel Edie Campbell was the Official Ladies Day Ambassador and also won the Magnolia Cup, competing against fellow celebrity ladies including Tricia Simonon, Maggie Buggie and Clare Salmon.

“I am thrilled to take on the role of Official Ladies Day Ambassador for Glorious Goodwood. The Magnolia Cup has established itself as one of the most exciting races of the event and in doing so has raised significant funds for worthy causes.”  Edie Campbell

The events are anticipated to raise an incredible £200,000 that will be split evenly between Best Beginnings and The Reading Agency. This is an amazing amount of money that will make a big difference to both charities’ work tackling the inequalities that many people in the UK face in terms of health, welfare and life chances.

We’d like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to Lord and Lady March for their generosity; all the staff at Goodwood for their hard-work organising the events; the magnificent jockeys, silk designers and sponsors; as well as the wonderful volunteers that helped sell raffle tickets and shake buckets!
