From Bump to Breastfeeding announcement

The From Bump to Breastfeeding DVD will no longer be available from the Department of Health order-line free of charge.

Given the current financial constraints and limited availability of resources, the government is committed to reviewing its spending priorities and exploring ways of taking work forward. As a result the DVD is now available to buy from Best Beginnings at a cost. Details of prices and how to order are available here. The films are also available to view online for free on the Best Beginnings website and clips are also available on www.nhs.uk/breastfeeding alongside helpful information and tips to help pregnant women and new mothers.

Since November 2008 over 1.5 million copies of From Bump to Breastfeeding have been funded by the Department of Health and we are enormously grateful to them for their support and belief in this resource and for providing an opportunity to demonstrate the DVDs value. Whilst the DVD is no longer available free of charge it is included in the best practice guidance outlined in the new care pathways.
