n Sunday 12^th July, 10 staff from Wildheart Residential Managment Ltd - 'Team Wildheart' - will run 10K around London’s iconic landmarks as part of the British 10K London run to help raise some much-needed funds for Best Beginnings.

Best Beginnings

Best Beginnings is a charity providing information and support to all UK families, in particular young parents or those with sick or premature babies, to help them improve their children’s health, development and wellbeing.

Best Beginnings produces and distributes powerful resources highly valued by professionals (including doctors, midwives and health visitors), such as DVDs, magazines and our phone app - Baby Buddy. These resources are engaging and evidence-based to help improve parent’s confidence, knowledge and skills to give their children the best beginning.

Team Wildheart’s story

Little baby Jemima (the first Wildheart baby) was born on 30^th March 2015, 10 weeks premature weighing just 3 pounds and 5 ounces. Jemima spent the first five weeks of her life being cared for in St Helier and Epsom Neonatal units, where Sister Gerry (who is also taking part in the 10K run for Best Beginnings) brought parents Simon and Tina’s attention to Best Beginnings’ work.

With firsthand experience of the support Best Beginnings provides to new parents with premature babies, Simon and Tina were keen to give back to the great cause as they believe it is important that every child is given the very best care and support from birth. Simon has amazingly put together a team of 10 to take part in the 10K London run on behalf of Best Beginnings to collectively raise as much money and awareness as possible.

How you can help
Team Wildheart have gotten creative in raising some much-needed funds for Best Beginnings and amazingly held a charity car wash and cake sale on Saturday 4^th July in Nottingham.
