Baby Buddy Survey During Social Distancing Measures

Best Beginnings is the charity behind the Baby Buddy app. Feedback from our users helps us secure funding to do amazing things like create new features, add new content and support midwives, community organisations and health visitors who work with parents across the UK.

We would love to know how Baby Buddy is supporting you right now. We have created a short which only takes a few minutes to complete.

The survey
The survey is anonymous. We shall not be collecting any data that could identify you and we shall not have access to your IP address. The survey will stay open until April 10th and the results should be available on our website by the end of April. If you would rather have the survey results emailed directly to you, then please leave us your email address at the end of the survey. If you choose to do this, we shall not use your email for any purpose other than to send you the results.

Telephone interviews

We are asking if some of you would be happy to take part in a telephone interview, in which case we shall need your contact details. We will not be sharing your contact details with anyone beyond the research team from UCL (University College London), the university which is helping us with the research.

A researcher from UCL will contact you to arrange a suitable time for a telephone interview. With your permission, the telephone interview will be recorded. Once the interview has been transcribed (written up), the audio recording will be deleted.

If you would rather us not record the interview, then we can take notes.

On completion of the interview, the researchers will delete your contact details from their mobile devices.

If you change your mind about participating, there will be a window of a week after your interview, during which time you can contact us and withdraw your interview from the research. After a week, any data connecting your personal identity to the interview notes or transcription will be deleted, and the interview will become anonymous. From this stage it will not be possible to withdraw your data from the research.

3.1 Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
3.2 From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our site, or our entire site, to users who have registered with us.
3.3 If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

The photographs of children used within this site to illustrate Best Beginnings' work may depict situations enacted by models and may or may not depict actual situations.

We aim to update our site regularly, and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to our site, or close it indefinitely. Any of the material on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material.

8. Our liability
8.1 The material displayed on our site is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

9. Information about you and your visits to our site
