At Best Beginnings we work with real parents to share their stories and help others. Here are some of our parents showing us it's #OkToSay

Kiran and Punjab

Kiran’s husband Punjab suffered from depression. Following the birth of their child, Kiran developed post natal depression. Despite Punjabs experience, Kiran was worried about opening up. They share their journey to recovery here.

Rachael and Paul

Racheal and Paul discuss the importance of listening and how a partner doesn't have to try to fix things all the time.

Jessica and Jon

Jessica's depression resulted in her stepping in front of a train. Later that day, a conversation with her partner Jon started her journey to recovery.

Our work with Parents

We work to support parents through their pregnancy and the early years. Our projects span mental health, breastfeeding, safer pregnancy, premature and sick babies, and wider physical and mental health promotion. All of the parents involved in these projects have lived experience and want to help other families.

We now have over 250 films of parents and health care professionals in our multi-award winning free Baby Buddy App.

All of the films we make are created with parents, health care professionals and other organisations. They are then reviewed by our Parents Panel who feeedback to help us ensure the films are useful, accesible and understdable. If you would like to join our Parents Panel please answer these questions.
