A year on from the publication of the first NHS ‘Empower the Person’ digital roadmap, the conference brought together people who are passionate about the power of digital tools, products and services in transforming how people manage their health and care, and have a more personalised care experience. As Best Beginnings harnesses the power of digital to empower parents, our CEO and Founder, Alison Baum, was one of the speakers presenting our NHS accredited Baby Buddy app.

As the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care said in his recent Tech Vision: “Public-facing digital services should support and empower people to stay healthy and independent for longer, as well as helping with the management of conditions and ensuring interactions with the health and care system are consistent, and improved.”

The conference was a field of driving the conversation around a shared vision for digital transformation of health and care which lies in with Best Beginnings' vision of using digital innovation to provide information and support to parents and soon-to-be parents through pregnancy and beyond to maximise their child's development.

Attendees were from service transformation, health commissioning or prevention, population health management and the care sector; as well as those working in the voluntary sector or tech industry.

Exciting innovators from across the NHS, social care, charities and beyond spoke at the conference including our CEO and Founder, Alison Baum. Alison's presentation was about how Baby Buddy app is designed to drive social change by using digital technology to drive adoption and uptake by clinicians and commissioners and to empower parents and soon-to-be parents to take care of their own and their family's physical and mental health so each child can have the best start in life.

We are honored to be part of the NHS' digital driving force and look forward to the coming years where it's digital vision becomes a reality.
