Thank you to all the mums and professionals who have helped us put together the new films that are now live in our Baby Buddy app!

There are 27 new films where mums talk about finding out they were pregnant, what is was like telling people, their feelings during pregnancy and as a new mum, how they prepared for birth, and the importance of making time for yourself.

Midwife Julie talks about different types of birth and your choices, how to reduce pain during labour and birth, and having a birth partner.

Dr Ranj gives advice about what to do if you think your baby is ill, and talks about common complaints like colic, reflux and milk allergy.

Baby Buddy also has films on feeding and caring for your baby, MRI scans that show a baby growing in the womb, and how to care for sick and premature babies.

Having a baby is a special time and we know that new mums love to hear from other mums who have experienced pregnancy, birth and welcoming their little one into the world.

Baby Buddy is there to support you through your pregnancy and the first six months of your baby’s life.  As well as videos, the app gives you daily information based on your due date or baby’s age, and can use your location to show the services and support in your local area.  The ‘Ask Me’ section means you can ask any pregnancy and baby-related questions, and you can rely on the answers because they have been written by midwives and doctors.

Nearly 40,000 people have downloaded the app since its launch last year!

To download the free app visit Google Play or the App Store.  A desktop version is also available.

Healthcare professionals can order free posters and leaflets, find out more about using the app in practice, and get local information listed.

Thank you to all those who are featured in the new videos, including Dr Ranj, Midwife Julie, Nicolle, Jess and Mikey, Nicola, Steph, Linzi, and Rebecca.
