Baby Buddy Champions Launch in West Sussex

We are pleased to announce that Health Care professionals in West Sussex are now Baby Buddy Professional Champions! Best Beginnings’ Baby Buddy App is now part of "business-as-usual" for health professionals to support their capacity and engagement with parents in order to improve support, communication, confidence and self-efficacy which ultimately serves to improve maternity experience and health outcomes for both parents and their children.

The Embedding process of Professional Baby Buddy Champions is tailored a 6 week programme to use Baby Buddy to address local concerns. Baby Buddy will now be effectively enhance the maternity experience and improve outcomes in West Sussex.

To mark the launch and to see the app in action, health care professionals, representatives from West Sussex Council and parents alike took part in a ‘Picnic Play Date’ with a Young Parents Group at the Langley Green Children and Family Centre, Crawley, on Monday 29 January.

Karen Wheeler, a Family Support Lead for Delivery in Arundel shared her thoughts during the launch event:

“I have been a Baby buddy champion for a long time and have been recommending the app for over 3 years. I have found the breast feeding videos helpful to show to new mums. Young mothers also love watching the avatar's bump growing with theirs. “
