Best Beginnings wins the prestigious Guardian Public Service awards for 'Digital and Technology' for Baby Buddy app.

Baby Buddy provides parents personalised support and a "digital best friend" to support them in their journey to parenthood and for the first six months after their baby is born. A number of factors distinguish Baby Buddy from other parity apps that are available for parents to download which is why the app has now claimed a number awards since it was first launched by Best Beginnings in November 2014.

  • Baby Buddy and all its content has been developed in collaboration with parents, royal colleges, healthcare professionals and other health organisations so all the information is verified best practice. It contains more than 200 short video clips of parents sharing their stories and midwives and doctors offering reassuring information and signposting support
  • Best Beginnings' parent panel ensures that all the content is tonally appropriate and easy to understand. The parents distinguish that everything in the app has a purpose and is useful for other parents going through the life-changing journey of having a child.

Best Beginnings Founder and CEO, Alison Baum said:

"We are incredibly proud to have received this award which we share with our brilliant partner in Bulgaria, Despark, who has helped to technically develop and maintain the app with our local digital team. But equally this award belongs to the rest of my team who work tirelessly to bring the app to the attention of parents across the country."
