About Our work Supporting families We have developed practical, simple, educational and interactive tools to support parents-to-be and new parents. Our flagship portal is our multi-award-winning and quality-assured, Baby Buddy app. We work collaboratively and in an integrated way across all relevant agencies and organisations to bring about change in practice. We work together to give all parents, regardless of income or background, the knowledge and confidence to empower them to maximise their own well-being and their child’s physical, emotional, language and brain development. The app is available to download from Google Play and the App Store and can also be accessed on desktop through Baby Buddy web app. To support families, we: offer bespoke embedding of our digital and non-digital resources (Baby Buddy and Baby Express magazine series) in local care pathways and train professionals to use them and enhance their capacity to support parents and parents-to-be. train community champions to encourage local families to use the app to address their needs to improve outcomes. raise awareness by delivering projects and national campaigns on issues affecting new mums, dads, bumps and babies. maintain a digital presence across a number of social media platforms to not only promote Baby Buddy and our work generally but to amplify important messages, including showcasing Baby Buddy content, across a number of important issues affecting parents and pregnant families. create and distribute flyers and posters. promote important issues through press editorial, television and radio appearances and, very rarely, paid advertising. raise awareness of our resources at stakeholder conferences to cascade the awareness to front line practitioners and thereby, the families they support. engage with government, authorities and society to influence change.
